Marten and Oopjen is a pair of wedding portraits by Rembrandt van Rijn, created in 1633.

It is made with oil on canvas, using refined brushwork and rich lighting to highlight texture, clothing, and status.

The paintings were commissioned by the wealthy couple Marten Soolmans and Oopjen Coppit to celebrate their marriage. Rembrandt was inspired by Dutch portrait traditions but elevated them with dramatic light, realism, and a strong sense of presence.

The works are jointly owned by the Netherlands and France and are alternately displayed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the Louvre Museum in Paris.
